Campbellsville, population 22,000, is the county seat of Taylor County, shaped like a heart. We are the geographical center of Kentucky. Tourist sites include Green River Lake, 8200 acres, Tebbs Bend Civil War battle site, the Hiestand House, the Atkinson Griffin Log Cabin which served as the Confederate Hospital during the Civil War battle on July 4, 1863. Campbellsville is home to Campbellsville University, Penn's Country Hams, numerous cherry handmade antique reproduction furniture shops and the 4th of July Festival. is located in a huge warehouse here and ships merchandise all over the world.
