Region Western Kentucky

The city of Clinton is located in Far Western Kentucky with a population of 1,415 and is the county seat of Hickman County. Clinton is 10 miles from Columbus-Belmont State Park. Both Confederate and Union forces occupied this Civil War site. The earthworks can still be viewed today. There is a Museum, snack bar, gift shop, mini golf, picnic area, and campground. There are shelters and an Activities Building that can be rented for any type of event. “Civil War Days” is the second weekend of Oct. Clinton is 46 miles from Reelfoot Lake, a major fishing location in TN and 50 miles from Kentucky and Barkley Lake both excellent vacation areas. Paducah is 45 miles away and offers excellent convention, restaurant, shopping and entertainment facilities.
