Located in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, Hardinsburg is a small rural community with much offer. Known for having the smallest Walmart and McDonald's, Hardinsburg is centrally located between three larger cities: Louisville to the northeast, Owensboro to the west, and Elizabethtown to the southeast.

Hardinsburg, the seat of Breckinridge County, is along State Highway 259, and US Highway 60, about 70 miles south of Louisville. Hardinsburg is located 70 miles north of Bowling Green, 40 miles east of Owensboro and 30 minutes from Nolin Lake.
