Morgantown, KY, located in Kentucky's caves, lakes and corvettes region, features the well known Green River, unique shops, good home cooking restaurants, the Green River Museum, and events that take place throughout the year.

Morgantown has one of only two monuments dedicated to soldiers of both Confederate and Union armies that died in the Civil War, and it is located at the county courthouse. It's known as the Confederate-Union Veterans' Monument in Morgantown.

Morgantown's municipal park, Charles Black City Park, is home to the annual Green River Catfish Festival held the week of July 4.
