Craft Breweries & Spirits
Though whiskey distilleries are a major part of Kentucky’s heritage, craft beer breweries are the newest among Kentucky’s more spirited offerings.
In Lexington and Louisville especially, craft breweries/bars have quickly become popular, trendy places to hang out, eat and drink. Even distillers are getting in on the craft trend, with specialty whiskey bars that are more intimate than sprawling distilling facilities.
Craft breweries are local places to enjoy flavorful, authentic, and creative brew-making.
Lexington Craft Beer Week held annually in May features tastings and special events highlighting Lexington’s craft beer scene, and Louisville
hosts the Louisville Craft Beer Week in September.
