The Louisville Slugger Museum - Louisville
Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory welcomes the Solar Eclipse with an exhibit running through August 2017.  The exhibit will feature items and photos from the famous eclipses in baseball, including the 2004 World Series Lunar Eclipse, and Louisville’s 19th Century Major League Baseball team called the Eclipse, including rare scorebooks from the era.

Not in the path of totality? You can still view the eclipse from the fun of the Kentucky State Fair at a solar eclipse viewing party at 1:30 in the North Wing Lobby.  WDRB and the UofL Planetarium have partnered with the state fair for a day of fun and education.  WDRB will be on the Performing Arts Stage discussing the science and history behind solar eclipses, and the planetarium will have their Portable Planetarium in the North Wing Lobby for an 8 minute guided tour through our galaxy.  WDRB will be handing out solar eclipse viewing glasses too! Fairgoers are asked to wear their protective eyewear if viewing the eclipse, however, if it is cloudy Fairgoers can still watch the eclipse as it happens on the North Wing Super Screen from the NASA live stream!!

Watch the partial eclipse from the infield at Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Derby Museum is offering a Solar Eclipse Viewing Tour on Monday, August 21st from 1-3p.m. Guests will receive free eclipse viewing glasses and an ideal location for one of the best views of the eclipse in Louisville at the optimal viewing time. For more information and to secure your spot, visit DerbyMuseum.org

Also, the city of Owensboro, outside the path of totality but still within range of the partial eclipse has lots of great activities for the weekend.  View the full list here
