 “Kentucky is proud to host this year’s PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville August 4-10, 2014.”        

The PGA Championship,  the annual culmination of golf’s four major Championships (Masters, US Open, British Open & PGA Championship), features a field of 156 contestants.  Perennially the strongest in golf and has featured the most world-ranked players of any major championship since 1994.  The 2014 PGA Championship will feature the largest purse of any major championship ($10 million).

Since 1916, golf's best professionals have won the PGA Championship, including: Jason Dufner (2013), Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Raymond Floyd, Lee Trevino, Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen and Walter Hagen.

Practice rounds are Monday to Wednesday.  Championship rounds are Thursday to Sunday.  Play is generally from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. CBS Sports and TNT will provide over 30 hours of national coverage, along with extensive coverage on The Golf Channel.
