About
Every Spring, tens of thousands have streamed into the small Western Kentucky town of Paducah to celebrate quilting and fabric art at AQS QuiltWeek™. Too large to be contained in a single building, the entire town embraces quilters and rolls out the red carpet. Art exhibits fill multiple exhibit halls; merchants stock their booths in over four locations; even the local Rotary and The National Quilt Museum host week-long events for quilters.
Now entering its 29th consecutive year, the American Quilter’s Society is putting on its biggest show yet! Mark your calendars to attend AQS QuiltWeek in Paducah, KY, April 24 – 27, 2013. Registration is now open to reserve your tickets, schedule your classes, and secure your seat for special events, seating in many classes and special events is limited. So be sure to register early.
-------
The American Quilter’s Society is the largest quilting membership organization in the world. For almost 30 years, AQS has been the leading voice in quilting inspiration and advice, through a broad suite of products—magazines, books, live events, contests, workshops, online networks, patterns, fabric, and catalogs.
At AQS, we believe that with inspiration and advice, the creatively minded can take their quilting projects beyond what even they had imagined. That is why inspiration is central to everything we do. The leading authors in quilting choose to publish with AQS; the best in quilt artistry select AQS events to display their work; the newest quilters learn from the knowledge and inspiration of AQS members.
Founded in Paducah by Bill and Meredith Schroeder, AQS is proud to call Kentucky home.
