         7:00 P.M. - 9:30 P.M.
The Milky Way's a candy bar, Saturn was a car manufacturer, and Polaris is the maker of ATV's and snowmobiles, right? Well, true, but think again... Come celebrate National Astronomy Day with us at John James Audubon State Park! A free lecture by astronomer and author, Joe Caruso, will kick off the event with his presentation of "The Long Address: Where We are in the Universe" at 7:00 P.M. in the Audubon Museum Theater. We'll have some constellation activities, and themed snacks, too. Then follow Joe out to Audubon Golf Course where we'll join the Evansville Astronomical Society for some stargazing! Telescopes will be set up on the hill. The Audubon Photography Club will be on hand as well to showcase astrophotography. Bring a flashlight and binoculars.
