About

Kenlake State Resort Park is carrying on the tradition and hosting Eagle Weekend 2013, a weekend dedicated to our national symbol, the Bald Eagle.  When the weather starts to turn cold, Bald Eagles from the north migrate south in search of ample food supplies.  Kentucky State Parks takes this opportunity to arrange special field outings to view this majestic bird in the wild.

Tours aboard the CQ Princes are available for $50 per person.

In addition, programs are offered Friday evening by Lake Barkley State Park Naturalist Mary Schmidt and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.  A program featuring live birds of prey (and a Bald Eagle) will be offered to guests on Saturday evening.

You may register by calling the park at 1-800-325-0143 or by downloading a registration form (pdf) here:  eagle watch registration2013.pdf

Contact the park for details on departures and programming.
