Family friendly activities will be presented all day and visitors can tour the archaeological museum and explore the Mississippian Indian mounds..
There will be hands-on demonstrations of pottery, primitive technology, atlatls and spears, bows and arrows, stone tools, crafts, Mississippian foods, Native American games and archaeology for a kids’ eye view. Ballard County Cooperative Extension will have a Healthy Snacks Exhibit.
Take a guided hike of the Woods Walk Trail with a Kentucky Division of Forestry Ranger and learn about the practical uses of trees, plants and forest resources.
Admission: $5 for adults, $4 for kids and seniors.
