Beginning at 9:00 A.M., Buckhorn Lake will be celebrating “Free Fishing Weekend” and National Trails Day.
Borrow a fishing pole from the Marina for FREE to hook a fish, or hike part of our 2 miles of trail. Several programs such as “Learn How to Fish”, Project Learning Tree, Project Wild and guided walks will be offered throughout the day to interpret history, wildlife, and ecology of the park.
Other hiking opportunities in the area will be presented. Ideal for scout groups, anyone interested in enjoying the environment, and individuals of all ages.
