The featured route is Saturday's traditionally challenging century ride past the state capital in Frankfort, on to the other points of interest including the historic Jack Jouett House and Keeneland Racetrack. Other supported distances (26, 37, 60 and 78 miles) are also offered as part of the event. Sunday routes will take you in a different direction from Saturday toward the “Thoroughbred Capital of the World” Paris, Kentucky with your choice of an approximately 34 mile loop, a 51 miler through Paris or a 75-miler. All routes return each day to the Georgetown College starting point. Recommended starting times between 8 and 10 a.m. are listed on the route maps. The Horsey Hundred is not a race; it is an opportunity to share your cycling passion with the camaraderie of 2,000+ other participants in the Kentucky horse country setting. This is a tandem friendly, family friendly event that contains rolling hills, well maintained roads, gorgeous scenery of Kentucky’s rivers and Bluegrass in addition to memories guaranteed to last a lifetime!

Again this year, your Horsey Hundred Team is pleased to provide you access to interactive (GPS) maps for all Horsey Hundred routes. These Maps can be viewed in advance and are available for download to your personal GPS unit. Keep in mind, however, that the Horsey Hundred is not responsible for any errors in the map program itself. While these maps are generally very reliable, you are cautioned to always look for and follow the Horsey Hundred markings on the road. Your road marking crew will be busy confirming that the routes are properly marked. You will also receive detailed maps with cue sheets at packet pickup.

Optional Friday Ride:

Open rides with the Bluegrass Cycling Club will be starting from points in eastern Fayette County (Lexington) on Friday morning (May 23). All Horsey participants are invited at no charge. Ride leaders and maps will be provided, with country stores available on all the routes. Click the below Friday Social Rides button to view the ride options.
