The Wickliffe Mounds archaeological site and museum was established on October  2, 1932, by Fain W. King, and was later joined by his wife, Blanche Busey King.  Each year in October, to participate in International Archaeology Day, we commemorate this achievement by presenting exhibits about the site’s fascinating history.  This year will be the 85th anniversary of King’s establishment of the Wickliffe Mounds Ancient Buried City site, and focus will be on Mrs. King’s contributions to the site.  At 1:00, an old-fashioned Tea and refreshments will be served to park visitors who pre-register.  Fee for the program and the Tea is $5 adults, $4 for children and seniors. To register for the Tea, and for more information, please call the park office at 270-335-3681.
