Bill Monroe, known internationally as the "Father of Bluegrass music", is buried in Rosine Cemetery along with many family members including Birch & Charlie Monroe and Pendleton (Uncle Pen) Vandiver. Also interred are 111 veterans and the the first Kentuckian to receive a post humous Medal of Honor for WWII, PFC Wesley Phelps. Hours are dawn to dusk.
