The Gallery on the Square, located in historic downtown Franklin is operated by the Simpson county Guild of Artists and Craftsmen. The Gallery proudly displays works by local artists from Kentucky and Tennessee. Six rotating art exhibits per year feature area artists including the Simpson County Guild of Artist & Craftsmen. Kentucky Crafted TM) items and a wide variety of unusual and distinctive hand crafted gifts suitable for any occasion.
The historic Gallery is available for use by groups or individuals as a meeting or reception hall.
There is a custom framing and matting shop located within the Gallery. Classes are offered throughout the year and now there's "The Good Cup" a place to sit a while, have a cup of coffee and perhaps even a snack.
Community Activities include: " At the Gallery", an evening of music featuring a variety of local talent and musical styles. "Student of the Month" features selected art work from Simpson County students. Summer hours: Mon. - Fri. 10am - 4pm; Sat. 10 am-1pm. Closed Sun. Winter hours: Closed Sun.
