Set amidst the rolling hills of the Bluegrass lies the Kentucky Horse Park Campground, one of America's finest resort campgrounds! The campground boasts 260 campsites, each complete with electrical and water hookups, paved pads, fire rings and picnic tables. There is also unlimited primitive camping available. Our campground has many extras for your comfort: a grocery with souvenirs, two bathhouses with modern conveniences, laundromats, two dump stations, tennis and game courts, junior Olympic-size swimming pool, playground and more. While here, plan on visiting the Kentucky Horse Park - the only park of its kind in the world! The park is a working horse farm/theme park and equine competition facility dedicated to man's relationship with the horse.
Kentucky Horse Park Campground (state owned) From Jct. of I-75 & SR-1973 (exit 120), E 0.7 mi on SR-1973 (L), just north of downtown Lexington. Good paved interior roads. SITES 260 paved, some shaded, back-ins (40 x 45), 14 day maximum stay, 260 W, 260 E (30/50 amps). Primitive sites are available. FAC Restrooms and showers, 2 dump stations, public phone, laundry, store with limited groceries and RV supplies, firewood and more. REC Pool, horseshoes, recreational field, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts, reduced admission rate to the Kentucky Horse Park.
