A 351-foot obelisk marks the birth site of Jefferson Davis, June 3, 1808. 19 acres, museum, gift shop, picnic shelters, playground, elevator to top of obelisk. Monument/Museum Tour $5.00 for adults,$4.00 Military, 55 and older and $3.00 for children 12 and under. Museum only prices $3.00 for adults, $2 Military, 55 and older and $2 for children 12 and under. Hours of operation May 1 to October 31: The Museum, Gift Shop, & Monument are open daily from 9am-5pm. November 1 to April 30: The Monument will be closed; however, the Museum & Gift Shop remain open 9am-5pm on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays
