Green River Lake


The 8,210-acre Green River Lake and surrounding area offer a wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. The Corps of Engineers and the Commonwealth of Kentucky manage the land and water for wildlife, fisheries and recreation.

Water sports enthusiasts will love Green River Lake featuring houseboats, fishing boats, ski boats, and pontoons.

For "reel" excitement enjoy a day of fishing at Green River Lake. Both the avid angler and the beginning fisherman will enjoy the challenge of fishing for white, largemouth, small mouth, and Kentucky bass, bluegill, crappie, muskie and walleye.

Enjoy sand between your toes and the gentle waves of Green River Lake at the beach.

The lake is situated in Adair and Taylor counties, lying amidst rolling terrain, steep bluffs and flowing streams in the section of Kentucky known as the Highland Rim.

The lake is less than 100 miles from Louisville and Lexington.
Green River Lake is located near the cities of Greensburg, Campbellsville, and Columbia.
