The Madisonville Miners is a summer collegiate baseball team that calls Elmer Kelley Stadium home. Madisonville, KY can trace it's professional baseball history all the way back to 1916, when the Madisonville Miners took to the field in the KITTY League. The team only lasted one season, before resurfacing in 1922 for one more season. The Miners made another comeback in 1946, this time lasting until 1955. The third incarnation of the Miners were the Class D KITTY League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. The Miners are now making their return playing in the Ohio Valley League.
