
Within a half hour of the Kentucky Horse Park are several towns that date to Kentucky's earliest history. Take a short drive and feast your eyes on some of the most beautiful landscape in the nation and discover a few locations that show why we're known as the Bluegrass State.
Historic Towns Tour - Georgetown/Midway/Versailles
Head north toward Georgetown and stop at Sam's Truck Stop for some home cookin'. You'll step back into the 50s with great food and wonderful pies at very reasonable prices.

Head to Midway, Kentucky's first railroad stop. Located half way between Lexington and Frankfort it was a stop along the Lexington and Ohio Railroad.

Head west on Old Frankfort Pike to U.S. 60, take a left toward Versailles
On your drive, enjoy the pristine landscape of some of the most famous of Kentucky's horse farms. When you reach Versailles, veer downtown off the right and stop to see the Bluegrass Scenic Railroad & Museum.
