625 acre lake, public boat ramp, fishing for bass, oanfish & catfish, boat dock with rentals, tackle & live bait
Wood Creek Lake is home to the state record largemouth bass. Caught in 1984, the record breaking fish weighed over 13 pounds! Situated right along 1-75 in Laurel County, Wood Creek Lake is a lake that is widely over looked by anglers in the bluegrass. It is a smaller lake, at only 625 acres, but it provides excellent fishing opportunities for bass, panfish & catfish. There is a public boat ramp, and a nearby tackle store offers live bait, tackle, supplies & some boat rentals.
