Ballard Wildlife Management Area is located in Western Kentucky. This 8,000 acre WMA offers fishing, hunting & wildlife viewing. There are 11 fishing lakes on the WMA where anglers may find all of the most popular game fish species along with a population of rough fish such as carp, buffalo and drum, due to occasional back flooding from the Ohio River. Fishing is closed from mid October through mid March. Those wishing to use live bail must purchase it before entering the WMA. Hunters interested in deer or waterfowl hunting should contact the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to receive the latest season and regulation information on these species.
