The Dewey Lake Wildlife Management Area in eastern Kentucky surrounds one of the more popular fishing lakes in the region. This WMA spans over 9,000 acres of mostly forested terrain along the shorelines of Dewey Lake. There are opportunities for fishing in the lake and hunting for a variety of species. Located adjacent to Jenny Wiley State Resort Park there are a number of campgrounds and recreation trails in the nearby area. A 22 mile horseback trail opened recently and leads riders through some spectacular forest trails.
