General Description

This island measures over 400 acres on beautiful Lake Cumberland. Named after the Civil War general Ambrose Burnside, this State Park offers a peaceful get away for boaters, fishermen, and campers. The park even has its own island golf course which is a part of the state parks golf trail. There is a full service marina located next to the park, and 94 campsites are on the island to satisfy overnight guests.
