8,799 acres in Barren and Allen counties, hilly to gently sloping terrain, fishing access, hunting for a number of species, primitive weapons hunting areas and impaired mobility areas

The Barren River Lake Wildlife Management Area is located in both Barren and Allen Counties; the largest area is within Barren County. The WMA is approximately 9,000 acres that surrounds Barren River Lake. Adventurous hunters will be thrilled with an area opened to only primitive weapon hunting. They will have several species of game to choose from as well. WMA also has an area designated for mobility impaired hunting. Please call for all hunting regulations.
