Park totals over 600+ acres, site of most destructive civil war battle in Kentucky, 12 mile trail system, 40 interpretative signs
Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site marks the bloodiest battle of the Civil War that took place in the Commonwealth. Over 7,600 casulties were reported at this site, which served as the last serious push for the Confederacy to take control of Kentucky. Visitors today see the same landscape as the young men that took up arms there over a century ago. There is a twelve mile trail system and forty interpretative signs that tell the story of the Battle of Perryville.
