Sugar Creek Resort has guided trail rides on horseback, canoe and kayak rentals for trips on the Kentucky River, and the first commercial vineyard and winery in the United States. Appropriately named, First Vineyard at Sugar Creek Resort was established by the Kentucky State Legislature in 1799, but was lost in the mid 1800s and it was not until 2002 that the site of the original winery was discovered. The canoe and kayak rentals are based on the duration of your trip, and portage to other locations is also available. The horse rides travel down by the scenic riverside, and the Dinner Rides include a delicious meal.
