Located just south of Natural Bridge State Resort Park and the Red River Gorge is Ashland Wildlife Management Area. True to form, this area is comprised of densely wooded forests, steep terrain and numerous clifflines. While rugged in many places, this WMA can provide some great hunting to those willing to look for it. Populations of deer, turkey squirrel and grouse can all be found. Access is off of Highway 11, just to the north of Beattyville.
