1,106 acres, bottomland with swamplands and rolling uplands, hunting for a variety of species, open under statewide regulations, gravel trails throughout forest
Green River State Forest is a unique area owned by the Kentucky Division of Forestry. Mostly bottomland hardwoods, 65 to 70 acres are swampland, with the remainder of the property in uplands. This area is one of the few places copperbelly water snakes still call home, but is also home to a number of game species as well.
