The Kentucky National Guard owns over 500 acres just to the northeast of Stanton in Powell county that is open to public hunting. Open under most statewide hunting seasons, hunters should take note of special dates that are closed due to training exercises. Most of the property is forested, but a decent sized tract in the center of the property is open.
