15,038 acres, hunters must sign waiver and send copy to ICG and have copy in ther posession while on the property, twenty two seperate tracts in Breathitt, Knott and Perry counties
Hunters in southeastern Kentucky have access to some large parcels of land through an agreement with the International Coal Group. Spread over 22 tracts and three counties, the ICG Hunting Access Area is open under statewide hunting seasons. Visitors to the area must complete a waiver before hunting, however. One copy must be mailed to ICG for their records, and another must remain in the hunter's possession while on the area. The area is mainly forested, with some sections of reclaimed surface mines. Access is generally good due to the old mine access roads. Visit the website to obtain a waiver and learn more about this hunting resource.
