1,156 acres, borders Ohio River, river bottom lands with the majority open crop fields, seasonal wetlands, no modern gun deer hunting
Just ten miles south of South Shore Wildlife Management Area is the Lewis County Wildlife Management Area. Similar to South Shore, Lewis County is river bottomland that borders the Ohio River. The majority of the property lies to the north of Highway 8, with a small section located directly across the highway to the south. Seasonal wetlands may be found on the area, but the majority of the WMA is crop lands and overgrown fields. There is no modern gun deer season, but the WMA is open under the statewide muzzleloader seasons.
