Over 1,100 acres in southern Kentucky are designated as the R.F. Tarter Wildlife Management Area. This primitive WMA can be found off of Damron Creek Road in Adair County. The terrain is mostly steep, forested land with no maintained roads or developed facilities. An abundance of song birds and reptiles live within the WMA.
