Owned by the University of Kentucky, numerous reserach projects and studies are conducted in Robinson Forest. The main block of the WMA is closed to hunting, and visitation is by appointment only. Outlying areas in Breathitt and Perry counties may be open to hunting, and those wishing to hunt should consult the current Hunting Guide from the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
