Asbury University’s Center for Adventure Leadership offers one of the best university-based adventure programs in all of Kentucky. Asbury offers an experiential program designed to prepare students for the outdoor industry by developing student leadership skills in an outdoor environment. This program intentionally engages the local community by providing its services to those who wish to partake in adventure experiences.
Adventure Leadership trips encompass an array of adventures including hiking and backpacking, rock climbing, and paddling trips. All of Asbury’s trips offer a fantastic outlet for groups and organizations to enjoy the outdoors in a fresh, relaxing environment. Regardless of ability, any and all participants are guaranteed to enjoy the programs Adventure Leadership has to offer.
If your group or organization is specifically looking for a fun way to improve its group dynamics, Asbury’s Adventure Leadership also provides a unique way to improve both interpersonal and intrapersonal skills through its Challenge Course in Wilmore, Kentucky, available by reservation.
The program is run and operated by its director, Trent Ellsworth who is a Wilderness First Responder, trained in high angle, cave and whitewater rescues, and certified by the AMGA as a single pitch instructor. He, along with many of the Adventure Leadership students assisting in guiding Asbury’s trips, have completed years of experience participating in these activities.
