79 acre man made lake, shoreline and boat fishing, no outboard motors, flat water canoe & kayak
Also known as the Liberty Reservoir, Lake Liberty is a 79 acre, man made lake that was built in 1976. Made to serve as the city's main water reservoir, Lake Liberty is a great place to fish, canoe or kayak. Take highway 70 east just out of Liberty and there you will find the peaceful lake. Anglers should note that a permit issued by the City of Liberty is required in addition to your Statewide Fishing License issued by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. City permits are $10.00 and are available at City Hall. There is a boat ramp that provides access to the lake, but outboard motors are prohibited.
