75 acre lake, fishing good for bass & panfish, boat ramp, canoeing, trail surrounding part of shoreline
At a mere 75 acres, this long slender lake may not seem like much, but don't let its unique shape and small size fool you. This lake has been regarded time and time again as one of the best largemouth bass lakes in eastern Kentucky. This horseshoe shaped lake can be found in Breathitt County, just north of Jackson. Ideal for smaller size boats, there is one ramp at the lake along with some shoreline access. A channel relocation of the South Fork of the Kentucky River and two highway-fill dams formed this lake in the 1960s. To this day anglers continue to boast good catches of largemouth bass, as well as bluegill and redear.
