The only cold water fish hatchery in Kentucky, the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery is responsible for all trout stockings in the state of Kentucky. Established in 1975, the fish hatchery has plenty for visitors to see and do. They are open 364 days a year, and are a great destination for field trips. Their friendly staff and volunteers can walk you through the all the steps taken at the hatchery that produce trout for the entire state. Inside the welcome center is a walk through display featuring all sorts of wildlife found in Lake Cumberland and its tailwaters.
