Running parallel with the Bluegrass Tour to the east, the Central Heartlands Tour travels north to south up the heart of Kentucky. Beginning at Dale Hollow Lake, it brings riders first to Campbellsville, Kentucky then onto Loretto and the home of Maker's Mark Bourbon. On into Bardstown where riders can visit My Old Kentucky Home State Park as well as some other great distillery tours. Taylorsville Lake State Park has plenty to see and do, and is a great spot to camp out. Those that like history and shopping may want to allow some extra time in Shelbyville, before heading on to Carrollton and General Butler State Resort Park. Riders can continue up the Ohio River to Warsaw Kentucky to see the Markland Locks and Dam.
