Begins in Franklin, Kentucky, travels north to Mammoth Cave National Park, other stops along tour include Rough River Dam State Resort Park, Cloverport and Hawesville.
The largest cave system in the world attracts over a million visitors per year. One great way to visit Mammoth Cave National Park is on the Mammoth Cave Tour cycling route. Riders will begin a few miles to the south of Mammoth Cave in Franklin, Kentucky. Traveling northeast the next stop is at Mammoth Cave National Park. Plan to explore the park and all it has to offer, both above and below ground. While it may be the highlight, Mammoth Cave is not the end of the tour. Cyclists will leave the National Park and head northwest to Rough River Dam State Resort Park, then onto some the historic river towns of Cloverport and Hawesville.
