General Description

Named after the eccentric gentleman who once owned the 365 acre farm, Curtis Gates Lloyd Wildlife Management Area now totals over 1,000 acres. Mr. Lloyd was very thorough and detailed when it came to writing, outlining precisely, how his property should be managed after he was gone. Today, the area is popular among all types of outdoor enthusiasts. Several different species of wildlife are present on the WMA for hunting, or studying, whichever you prefer. Miles of trails travel throughout the WMA, and a small lake is accessible for those desiring to fish. Trap, skeet and archery ranges offer marksmen an opportunity to improve their skills before the hunt. Mr. Lloyd would undoubtedly be proud his property has grown, providing a sanctuary for so many species of wildlife and plants.
