General Description

This piece of property was named in honor of Mr. John C. Williams, a World War II Veteran, employee at the Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources, teacher & conservationist. The property totals over 650 acres, and is currently open for all statewide hunting seasons except deer's modern rifle season. Oak trees were planted in the 1990s and as they continue to grow, the hardwoods will improve, making habitat better for deer, turkey & squirrel. There are some wetlands that provide good stops for waterfowl. Fishing is also available in Beech Fork which borders the Wildlife Management Area to the south.
