New to BGYM for 2015 is the Central Kentucky Flows events designed to give competitors a chance to experience some of the fabulous fishing that is available on several of central kentucky's best streams. Competitors will be able to choose from a multitude of launch sites on any of the 3 streams and their branches, giving everyone a chance to fish the type of water they enjoy - from moving water to the impounded sections, or a little of both if you like. All three streams have great sections of both moving and still waters that offer up great angling opportunities for all three bass species - smallmouth, largemouth and spots. In case you think you need to be on a large body of water to score a lunker, you need only know that last year's large bass in the nationwide River Bassin' Series came from one of these 3 streams - a a 24" largemouth caught by TJ Strong.
There will be no regular registration on the morning of the 15th, instead there will be a captains meeting at Canoe Kentucky in Frankfort at 7:00pm on Friday the 14th. This will allow anglers to launch from their sites at first safe light (TBD) on Saturday morning.
(For those unable to make the captains meeting, there will be provisions made to register early without attending the meeting, however attendance is strongly encoraged. Be sure to check back with this page often, as when the early registration information gets released it will be posted here). Anglers must return to Canoe Kentucky to reigister their catches and be in line no later than 4:00pm on Saturday. All other BGYM tournaments will apply as usual.
