3/1/2014: Over 100 years ago, the area that is now the Nature Watch Area was a bustling, industrial site that included limestone and iron ore mines, charcoal hearths, farms, workers’ homes, and businesses. 5/3/2014: Let’s go for a hike on one of our favorite trails, which happens to leave right from Nature Station parking lot! This 1-mile guided hike will take us through the woods, along a lake shore, and by the edge of a field. As we hike, we will search for signs of wildlife and point out several native trees.
