8 mile single track trail

This park was one of the original parks designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. Arguably the most popular attraction at the park is its two and a half mile Scenic Loop trail. This park is a combination of rolling hills, woodlands and open meadows. There is also an archery range, small fishing lake, as well as numerous other park facilities. The total area of the park is 390 acres and is home to the 9-hole Cherokee golf course, one of the oldest municipal courses in the state.
