21 mile horseback trail

Over 13,000 acres in Pike County is designated the Fishtrap Lake Wildlife Management Area. The land at Fishtrap Lake is typical to the Appalachian Region, with steep and rugged terrain covered in mostly hard wood forests. There are a wide variety of adventure opportunities open to the public at Fishtrap, including 14 miles of horse trails, campsites at the Grapevine campground area, hiking throughout the area, a boat launch ramp and marina. There is plenty to do both on and off the water at Fishtrap Lake.
