Fort Duffield in West Point, Kentucky, is the site of a historic Civil War Fort and Union stronghold at the mouth of the Salt river. Not far from Kentuck's largest urban area, Fort Duffield is very popular among Kentucky residents and visitors as well. History and Civil War buffs will obviously find it an interesting place to visit. Mountain bikers will be glad to hear that there is an eight mile trail of great single track. This trail is somewhat difficult and therefore, it may not be a suitable option for inexperienced riders.
