Begin in the tail waters of Nolin Lake at the foot of the beautiful Dismal rock, the 3 1/2-4 hour trip is mostly covered by a picturesque canopy of trees, enter the Green River at the mouth of Nolin and paddle up stream 1 1/2 miles to the end of your journey.
Green River Canoeing is Mammoth Cave National Park's oldest outfitter licensed to operate within the park. Experience the remoteness of the park as you paddle along the longest river located entirely in Kentucky. Green River Canoeing offers several trips of differing lengths. Fishing is also good along these trips, as paddlers can find a number of game fish for them to pursue. Camping is also available at certain locations with a backcountry use permit that may be obtained from Green River Canoeing.
