General Description
Located along the Cumberland Plateau in eastern and southern Kentucky, the forest encompasses over 707,000 acres of rugged terrain. Over 600 hundred miles of trails are scattered all throughout the forest for hikers, mountain bikers, horseback rides, and ATV/OHV riders. Note that all ATV/OHVs in the forest must be less than 50 inches wide. Attractions located in the London Ranger District include: Laurel River Lake, sections of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreational Trail, Cumberland and Rockcastle Rivers, Camp Wildcat Battlefield, and plenty of natural habitats and scenic areas to keep visitors captivated.
